How Leaders Can Use Digital Media To Win the 2022 Elections

The campaign season is finally here. It was literally the other day when the people of Kenya voted for their respective leaders.  I even can’t believe I am going to vote for the second time in the 2022 elections. Gosh, I just got my ID last year, can the world relax.

Time truly does fly and the leaders who constantly said “Tukutane kwa debe 2022” the time is now. When the last elections ended in 2017, the year 2022 seemed so far away. And most of our leaders promised us heaven come the next elections. Now that it is 2022 most of them have nothing to show in their track record of achievements. We can actually go on and on talking about how our leaders have failed us. But today is just not that day. Today we are going to enlighten our leaders on how they can use digital media to win the 2022 elections.

First of all, we are literally in 2022 a time when everybody is connected to the internet and spends an average of 147 minutes on the internet in a day. In fact, the internet penetration in Kenya is very high compared to our East African counterparts. Making it a great avenue for leaders to use in their campaigns.

We are at a time when using traditional media only won’t be enough to ensure your success in a Kenyan election. This is particularly true in urban areas such as Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nakuru, and Eldoret. In rural areas, you still have a chance to win without the use of digital media. But using it will give you a lot of millage amongst the youth of the area.

Social media

Social media is a very powerful tool for any politician who wants to win an election. You just have to have a great team of content creators and digital marketers who can create content that can evoke voters’ emotions. Once you are able to show voters that you are in it for the right reasons you can actually recruit them to be your ambassadors on the ground thus getting more people to your side. Plus you can be able to use paid ads that will ensure you gain a wider reach for your campaigns. Also do ensure you use social media networks that will have a positive impact on your campaign.

However social media can also bring you down if you are not careful with the content you put out and your responses to people’s questions. You always have to be careful as any miscommunication can lead to an online uproar that can bring you down by thousands of votes. Did I mention, that we offer really great social media marketing services ring us up and let us win you this election.

Blogs

I know immediately you read blogs you thought about mpasho, Nairobi gossip, etc, but no we aren’t talking about those types of blogs. But making it on those blogs for the right reasons isn’t a bad idea at all. A lot of Kenyans like to Google about their leaders and know a thing or two about them. You can use blogs such as this to highlight you as a person; this includes your career path before you decided on politics, family, etc.

Having you on the right blogs gives you more visibility, getting more people to talk about you. And you know, in politics having you as a topic of discussion isn’t a bad thing at all. It is actually very important to make sure that you are highlighted with the rights blogs. This refers to having blogs that talk about politics as you are much more likely to meet your target audience. A blog such as http://www.kachwanya.com/ is a great start for any politician. Also being featured in a number of blogs will give you a higher Google ranking which will greatly benefit your campaigns.

As you prepare to win the 2022 elections do not forget to use digital media to push your agenda to the people of Kenya. If you do not use it, someone else will and he/she will use it against you. Always remember to never push hate and false information on the internet, it always has an impact.
