Today we are going to delve into a different aspect of e-commerce sites- their social media handles. This is actually the bedrock of every e-commerce sites as these handles help them to make a majority of their sales, be it organically or through paid advertisements. So, how do e-commerce sites in Kenya handle their social media handles? And are they really worth a follow? Let’s find that out together by going through some of the most popular e-commerce sites in Kenya.

Kilimall

Kilimall isn’t new to the blog, as we have previously done a customer service survey on them. Going through their social media handles, I must tell you it felt like I was walking into a shop where everything was on a sale. And you know women with sales and trying to get the best deals in town, right? Their social media feed was basically filled with items available in their online shop.

Jumia

Being the number one e-commerce site in Kenya comes with the pressure of maintaining a good social media experience. And luckily for Jumia, they have risen up to the occasion and have a pretty good social media feed. They have even managed to gain a huge following across different social media platforms, twitter 124.8k followers, Instagram 151K and 18 million likes on Facebook. Their feed contains a wide array of content from advertisements, brand partnerships, and coupons to polls and fun content.

Cheki Kenya

Cheki is the number one car classified e-commerce site in Kenya. Going through their social media handles, it was evident that Cheki thrives on providing useful information to car buyers and sellers. They not only post promotional material but they also post what to look out for when buying a car, how to place a good price for your car, and they also mix with some fun and creative content.
