YALI has been around for a decade now and the impact of the leadership training is felt by every country that has been involved in the training. Great human rights activists have been born such as Shakiib Mustafe Ahmed from Somalia of Cohort 29, Dr. Cedric Patrick Le Grand Ouanekpone from Central African Republic (CAR) of Cohort 1, and Yesiga Herbert of Cohort 30, a Ugandan Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgender (LGBT) activist.
Individuals who have undergone the leadership training have impeccable leadership and entrepreneurship skills. They are a force to reckon with in any society and are doing the most to impact their communities’ lives. The impact stories can be found HERE. They illustrate how YALI is creating individuals who will help grow the African economy. Apply and be a part of Africa’s next generation of transformational leaders.
