Everyone knows that the whole point of using YouTube is to share your videos with the whole world.  It is used in various industries for training, how-to, procedures, software tips, executive messages, demos, induction, and role playing among others. However, not many people know how to utilize this Video platform for monetary gain.

Besides the business applicability of the plat form, it is also an excellent platform for personal use, such as sharing videos with friends and family. Obviously you cannot just post a video on YouTube and hope that it earns you some Money. Even if you are lucky enough to go Viral, you have to first go through some steps to mint money from your Videos.

How to make Money from YouTube videos

Step One  – You have to enable your account for monetization .This can be done by ticking a monetization option from your YouTube account. By selecting the monetization option, you are agreeing to the YouTube monetization agreement.

Step Two  – Connect your channel to an AdSense account. You can either create a new AdSense account or attach your current YouTube channel to any existing account you may have.

Step Three  – Review video criteria and ad for mats. As a precaution the platform only allows one to make money from what they consider “advertiser-friendly” videos.  What this simply means is that advertisers would not be willing to pay for videos showing violence or nudity.

They are also very stringent on copyright Laws. You have to inexplicably show that your videos don’t break any copyright laws – this is especially applies when using background music, you have to be very careful about the choice of music to avoid copyright infringement issues.

It is also in this step where you get to choose which types of ads you want in your videos. They could either be; display ads around your video, overlay videos, skippable video ads, or a number of other types.

Step Four  -The final step in monetizing your YouTube videos is by setting up either a single video or specific multiple videos to make money from.
