The Proliferation Of OPPO Smartphones in the Kenyan Market

There are so many different smartphone brands currently retailing in the Kenyan market, with each positioning itself differently for different target groups. Many smartphone designers are investing heavily in Technology in order to stay ahead of the competition. So what do you look for when planning to purchase a smartphone?  For example, why would you go for a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 instead of a Huwaei Mate 10 Pro or OPPO Find X instead of Nokia 8 ? The common elements smartphone users care for include the battery life, the quality of the camera, the design, the memory and definitely how much one has to cough to get their hands on the device.

The current generation cares so much about capturing exciting moments and how they look in that selfie and smartphone designers have noticed this. That’s why many smartphone brands are investing so much in the quality of their cameras. I remember back in 2017 when Infinix launched their S2 Pro smartphone, their major selling feature was the dual front camera making it the first ever Wefie smartphone in the Kenyan market. The other phone which has taken the Kenyan market by storm , positioning itself as the camera phone and selfie expert is OPPO. During the launch of their latest Signature phone Find X , hosted by the Bloggers Association of Kenya at the Nailab, it emerged that OPPO has been doing extensive research about their target consumer over the years, something that has kept them ahead of the game. OPPO is ranked as the number four  smartphone brand globally since 2016, providing excellent selfie experiences to young people around the world.
