Sony BRAVIA OLED Television Now Available In Kenya

A1 BRAVIA OLED TV

When I want to purchase a Television set, I look for one that supports all the technological standards that are going to be important over the coming years. Unlike the phone which can be changed frequently, I look at buying a TV that would take me a few years before any major change in technology takes place. That’s why I prefer Sony products. Sony Electronics was the first brand to bring OLED into the Kenyan market in 2007 with the XEL-1, an 11 inch TV display. Sony  now introduces the Bravia OLED Television which emits superior, powerful sound from the screen itself. The television available in screen sizes 55’’ and 65’’  feature unparalleled black levels and contrast, new Acoustic Surface sound technology and a sleek design.

The BRAVIA OLED TV A1 series offers a unique combination of the superior picture quality of OLED powered by Sony’s 4K HDR Processor X1™ Extreme, the world’s first Acoustic Surface™ sound system, and an edge-to-edge stand-less form factor. With over 8 million self-illuminating pixels, the BRAVIA OLED A1 series brings a significantly enriched visual experience with unprecedented black levels, rich and lifelike color, dynamic contrast, blur-less image and a wide viewing angle. The 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme extends the capability of OLED to deliver an exquisite 4K HDR picture.

Since the introduction of the XEL-1 into the market in 2007, Sony has continued manufacturing award winning OLED displays for professional broadcast and video production. Sony’s professional OLED displays are used for editing, dallies review, graphics generation, special effects, as well as for broadcast and cinematic production. Sony Professional OLED Master Monitors have won a Scientific and Engineering Academy Award® as well as a Technical Emmy Award for Outstanding Innovation in Engineering Development.

“The BRAVIA OLED TV A1 Series will be a new addition to an array of best in class televisions that will expand from 23 models in 2016 to 37 models in 2017, offering customers a wider choice. Sony has over 10 years of OLED experience, and is pleased to introduce the BRAVIA OLED TV A1 series to the Middle East and African market,” said Shoji Ohama, Head of TV Marketing, Sony Middle East and Africa.

Unmatched Contrast and Clarity

Product image 1_BRAVIA OLED TV A1 SeriesThe power of the 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme  enables non-HDR content to be improved to near 4K HDR quality with object-based HDR Remaster technology that can detect, analyze and optimize each object in the picture to adjust the overall contrast. Together, Sony’s unique technologies provide a better HDR experience with greater clarity and a wider range of colors and contrast. The TRILUMINOS™ Display maps colors for a wider pallet, Super Bit Mapping™ 4K HDR reveals creates a smooth, natural picture without “banding,” dual database processing reduces on-screen noise while maximizing clarity. All these Sony technologies deliver a more realistic picture with subtle shades and depths of color and dramatic brightness and black levels.

Powered by Android™ TV

The new BRAVIA OLED television is powered by Android TV which brings movies, TV shows and thousands of apps into the home, making it easy to watch broadcast and cable TV, download entertainment, and play Android games directly on your television.

All BRAVIA OLED Television models are available at Anisuma and Gametronics stores in Kenya.
