SOMA CONNECT 5TH EDITION: Social Media For Journalism

Social Media Connect is a platform that organizes different social media events that help create awareness and positive impact on individuals and organizations.

The overall goal is to generate a conversation that adds value to the economy and at the same time help achieve vision 2030.

Every second Wednesday of the month, SOMA Connect will host a social media forum at the Nailab in Nairobi. Each forum will have a different topic and a panel of digital experts with immense experience to discuss global and local Digital trend and how the audience can adopt them for a better society and business growth.

Today will see Mr. Ezekiel Mutua the C.E.O of Kenya Film Classification Board, Mr. Dennis Itumbi the Director of Digital in the office of the president and Business Editor Wallace Kentai hold a forum on social media for journalism at the Nailab from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm.

Objectives of Soma Connect

  1. Highlight and iteratively enhance the impact of Social Media on economic empowerment
  2. Create a pipeline of job and entrepreneurship opportunities in social media
  3. Sensitize the youth on job opportunities in Social media
  4. Promote the positive use of social media
